October 1, 1954 - May 10, 2017

Jeff Koch, loving husband, father and brother, passed peacefully on May 10, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, OH in 1954, and spent part of his childhood in Detroit, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eleanor Koch, and by his brother, Jimmy Koch. Jeff is survived by his wife of 30 years, LeLynn Koch, his children, Aubrey Converse and Adam Koch, his brother, Jerry Koch and wife Tina, his son-in-law Clyde Converse and granddaughter Chloe.

As a child Jeff developed a love for lizards, toads, snakes and bugs, a passion that remained throughout his life. His first career was that of a musician and teacher, having self-taught himself the guitar as a teen. In 1982, Jeff followed his brother to San Antonio. After attending St. Phillip's culinary program, Jeff began working at Boudro's on the Riverwalk, where he remained for 22 years. Jeff's passions for critters, music and food blessed the lives of his family and friends. He found joy in peeking under rocks, perfecting his burger, and picking on his guitar. Most of all he loved being with his family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2 PM at Bethany Congregational Church UCC , 500 Pilgrim Drive, San Antonio, Texas
